    • Talent remains; creativity is gone.

Sadly, most great artists do their best work in their twenties and thirties. I first saw Bonnie in Ann Arbor in 1977, and she thrilled me and everyone else in the audience. I began following her with great pleasure and admiration of her talent: to sing and play lead guitar at the same time, with great feeling, it is a rare thing indeed. However, the reviewer above who says that the last five albums sound exactly alike has it right. This music is derivative and not creative or thrilling. Her voice is declining. I am sad that a wonderful artist has faded.

I have to say I've been a Bonnie Raitt fan for years, hard to believe it's been four years since "Slipstream", but "Dig In Deep" is no joke. Ms Raitt is masterful with her slide work and her piano rendition on the very transparent "The Ones We Couldn't Be". But I really commend her on the piece, "What You're Doing To Me", the band was awesome. Don't know who was on the organ and the piano, but she really took it to church on that one. Great job Ms. Raitt and blessings upon you.

By home's where the heart is
For a long time gal's have had ton's of great electric guitar playing guys to watch and listen to, many of 'em getting that singing thing done too. But what about us guys who wanna see and hear a gal rockin' it ? Bonnie's been doing it and I'm sure inspired many a gal to pick one up and go to town. Being - in love - lately, have to hear " What You're Doing To Me " most every day, and speaking of - have to - if you've never been to a Bonnie Raitt show, it's a must go. Your ears and eyes will love it. In a recent tv interview she said something like every single show's a new experience..start to finish...and she's always giving it her all. Know what she's talking 'bout being a life long fan of live music having been blessed many times as part of an audience receiving something akin to sweet sustenance from heaven..just remembered blurting out at a great show that if heaven's not like this I don't wanna go- a little too irreverent even for me...but the way I was feeling. ( my go to gal will be saying watch out - tear drops - a coming - but that's all right...Agnes even agrees...tears of Joy are just fine ) Thank You Bonnie for always bringin' it !

This album is fine, but IMHO it is not among her best.

Bonnie continues to perform songs that I love listening to over and over. This music entertains, evokes emotion and connects the artist to the listener. Thanks for continuing to perform!

Bonnie Raitt is proving herself as a stalwart blues singer and great guitar player. I love the way she takes songs (especially Los Lobos' "Shake Shake Shake") and makes them all her own. But her own original songs do not take a back seat on this album. I love every song on this album - some bluesy, some rock and some tender. YES, I am ready for a thing called LOVE!!!

Saw the show in St. Louis last night and it is exactly what I thought it would be, Rock and Blues at the highest level. In these days of an artist having to recreate themselves to put a spin on who they are Bonnie gives us exactly what we have loved and respected for 45 years....her soul. For the reviewer that asked her to put the slide guitar down, I would say move on, Bonnie will be Bonnie and I'm guessing that is fine with the fans who will purchase this album and go see her live.

I have many of her CDs since “Give’m Something To Talk About” And she still produces music that makes me tap my foot, nod my head, and and ask my wife to dance like she was my blind date!

Bonnie's never better than when she's singing slow ballads. Great mix of songs. Just like buying an ALBUM, you may get a couple songs that aren't as good as the rest, but at least your supporting the artist. Glad she's still singing with heart!
