Continuing the hot streak begun with Parallel Dreams, Loreena McKennitt’s The Book of Secrets is yet another great effort in a career full of them. The music is incredible, with (obviously) The Mummer’s Dance and Skellig being the best songs here. What’s really cool is that this album was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, which totally makes sense considering his fanatical love for world music. A great record to have, with great storytelling and exotic atmosphere.
Hauntingly Beautiful - Rich Vocals

So much of Ms. McKennitt's music is beautiful, her rich vocals, and perfect music to match. I've come late to her music as a fan, but I am nevertheless, an ardant fan now. I cannot imagine more hauntingly beautiful songs than Night Ride Across the Caucasus and Skellig.
Thank You Ms. McKennitt and the Other Artists who brought The Book of Secrets to a tie that can only be matched by my other Lorenna McKennitt favorites.
