After a few good, but not great releases, DCFC comes back to the forefront of Indie music as one of the best ever. This album is brilliant - edgy, poignant, current and has the angst of much of their earlier stuff. Seems Ben Gibbard and co. poured out their frustration from the Covid pandemic into songwriting for this album. It is spectacular. Period. Ive been following them since the Photo Album and this masterpiece is right up there with Narrow Stairs and the aforementioned. Stunning.

Love this album, from start to finish. I’ve had it on repeat for weeks and it just keeps getting better, with the melodic backdrops, very expansive and dreamlike. Love it.
    • Sounds like a continuation of Plans

      The production seems awfully murky.

not awful, but probably their least impressive body of work. some of these just felt like thank you for today b-sides. the album has its moments but there aren’t many standouts here in my opinion. here to forever, i miss strangers, pepper, and fragments from the decade were my favorites

The best album they’ve put out in a long time. I love it, I think pepper is my favorite but there’s so many that are great!

Death cab for cutie has always been so original, transformative, and lyrical. Their lyrics fill my soul since I was 13 years old. Thank you, DCFC, for always keeping on, crafting beautiful tunes, and honoring all of us with sharing your creations!

I’m no good at writing reviews, so I’ll keep this short, but at first listen this is a GREAT album. Melodic and relatable just like most other DCFC albums (think Transatlanticism, Plans, Narrow Stairs). Love it!
