They sound excellent. Songs are good. This is a strong album. Shadows follow is one of the best songs this band has wrote in the last 20 years. When you see the songs live it really makes you see how good the album is.

Metallica is mostly know for there old school stuff, but this album is amazing too. Probably my second or maybe even first favorite. Metallica is one of my favorite bands, so I really enjoyed this album. Some of my favs are Lux Eterna, 72 Seasons, and If Darkness had a Son. 10/10 recommend this album.

I remember when I heard the Load album and I wanted to kill myself.
Where did the metallica that I discovered when I was a teenager go?
After listening to some of this album, it’s just bland, just more background music that you hear on FM radio during the day while you’re working. Uninspired like they’re working a boring 9-5 job to churn out banal radio friendly music.
I don’t know what this music is, it’s some kind of generic hard rock.
Oh well, we still have Exodus, Testament and Death Angel. The Bay Area thrashes on!!!!

Metallica gains a lot of fans by playing many different types of music. For example, they gained thrash fans in Kill ‘em all, and they gained heavy fans in the the Black Album. They’re getting back to us thrash fans again!!
