Rivers’ song writing takes a personal narrative and unfolds its story to touch hearts on a universal level. “Seasons” is refreshingly original taking the listener along a pathway of two lovers lives. One leaves too soon but as the song projects in an ethereal manner - the soul lingers and is felt “ever single day.” There is a duality of emotion one of cheerfulness and longing. She strategically uses her voice range and texture to tell the story. The chorus moves us forward along the path and the verses stop us to enjoy each season.
