[VirtuouS] - EP

Boundary pushing pop-rock-EDM hybrid group takes us back to their strongest material with their 10th EP. Leaning much harder into rock and metal, Dreamcatcher leads this EP with their title track and single, Justice, which gives us a Queen "We Will Rock You" pre-chorus and the gorgeously sung, cathartic vocals of a go-for-broke chorus. It's one of their strongest singles, right up there with their excellent Scream and Deja Vu. The vocals are the strongest they've delivered and leave the majority of their K-Pop peers in the dust. This is an extraordinary EP for fans of the rock genre in general, hardly segued into the niche of K-Pop. Highly recommended. If you are looking for some female lead rock or hybrid EDM, dive in. Don't let the K-Pop label fool you. It's absolutely worth a listen and download. You won't regret it. I hope Rock on the Range, Summerfest, Rock in Rio, Glastonbury, or even more diverse music festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, or Lolla extend them an invite next year. Admittingly, when it comes to ballads by DC, I tend to only listen to them when they come up randomly on shuffle. With that being said, Fireflies is my favorite track off this new EP. The harmonies are what really sold it for me. I may have spent the few listens trying to figure out who was singing with who. The lyrics are also beautiful. It's the last track on this EP, but I recommend that you not skip it right away and give it a listen.

I love it that they have a variety of tracks not aggressive at all. I don’t mean to call out BlackPink but they are very aggressive and I can even listen to BTS. I know it’s their style but I enjoy more uplifting tunes. Hope to here more. :)

The intro being 4 minutes is just *chef's kiss* and Justice is such a powerful rock anthem! I think 2 rings might be my favorite b-side, but that may change day to day lol.
