I mean...Layne is seen as Alice in Chains, kind of, but...stuff like this just shows that Jerry Cantrell is the sound of the band.

I actually wish this was going to be an Alice song, it would fit good with their legacy. Jerry’s solo stuff is like an extension of Alice to me anyway so I’m just glad he’s still producing great music. He’s got a talent in keeping that AIC sound fresh but not straying from its roots too far.

So awesome! I got the single which is great in its own right and we’ve got a whole other album coming. So stoked! Started watching him play in the eighties before Alice In Chains got signed over in Seattle.
