The songs are great and I especially like how great thou art because it feels like I still have a connection to my great grandfather who was really close to us.

I wanted an album of my favorite classic hymns. All I did was type "hymns" on iTunes. I listened to a few albums but this was by far my favorite. He has such a great voice and it has my top 3 hymns! Now I'm addicted to this album.

I love this album. Chris Rice's treatment is respectful of the originals yet he puts his stamp on them too. Little variations in phrasing, small timing changes, occasional changes in the wording, and his voice that somehow makes the songs intimate as if he is singing with you in the same room. He's a new favorite and I'm quite glad I bought this album.
