    • As a piano aficianado, I love this!

Great showcase for the Labeques! And Dudamel with LA Phil. They make the Glass score soar.
    • Unexpected, maybe even peculiar

Probably unlike all other Glass's concertos. No introductory material, just thrown into the middle of the action from the very start. Two movements are joyous and the piece finishes melancholically. I see Boolez is still living at his parents spending most of his time writing grammatically incorrect reviews with typos. Norman, get a life.

Glass' double piano concerto is more of the same Glass we've come to know, but now with more sycopation. One gets the feeling that he's aiming to a more faux Gershwin sound this time. The intent is unclear, but if you're into this sort of drivel, the price point is weridly affordable for a new work. If you're intersted, this won't break your bank. -Bz
