Brian has never strayed too far from his original genre of music. I like that he has the creative spirit to try different things but he always incorporates his sound in the final product. Kudos my friend to a job well done! Keep doing you Brian!❤️❤️

Whether it's jazz or funk, Brian hits all the right notes. The Funk concert is a JAM session.

People want to put artists in a certain genre, and with Brian, you can't do that. He is a multidimensional artist. I love this album, it brings out a lot of Brian's personality....especially at the shows! The show is very lively and he's showing a side of him that you don't always see. This is a must buy album!!! Great job Brian!! You never disappoint!! 😃🎶

Love it! Takes me back to the original JB's storyline with a modern twist. Great horns, rhythm and vocals. Some keyboard, too! Nice for BC to explore funk again. Update: saw BC live in Cranston! Wow! Just amazing talent and energy... Transcends all genres; just great fun music. Don't miss BC in concert on this tour.

First let's be truthful. There IS NO SUCH THING as "smooth jazz". There's jazz. You can call that music that for years has tried to be "deep" by connecting itself to an America art form smooth, but it's NOT JAZZ. And I like smooth music. Now on this album. If you LOVE FUNK, you'll love this album. Songs with "changes" and "bridges"—that place James Brown created. James, George Clinton, Tower of Power, Maurice White and EWF, Confunktion, The Dazz Band and etc. would have and are proud of the trading being rebirthed. Now if we can just get more from the talent that's out there. This could be the beginning of a great relationship with funk—again.

Happen to catch Brian performing much of this album live in concert. Amazing, simply amazing. Don't get me wrong I still listen to smooth jazz - but I bet you won't hear this one on an elevator!!!!!!! Thanks Brian for bringing back the FUNK!
