Tenology

Just saw their concert in Pittsburgh last night and thought they were fabulous! These guys put on a great show with a wide variety of music....from opera to Aussie folk songs, Simon and Garfunkel to Queen. They received a standing ovation and I enjoyed the show so much I am purchasing the album.

I saw the Ten Tenors for the first time when i was on a trip in South Africa. I was on vacation in Cape Town and there was a flyer at the hotel desk. So my mom and sister and i ended up going. It turned out to be the most amazing night of my life. They are talented, handsome, humorous, and there voices are absolutly exquisite. Ive never heard anything like it. They're most enjoyable!

And best work are 2 words that desribe this album. anthor one is better then Cheap Trick

Okay, personally I am not a huge fan of tenors anyway, but this is just bad. The Ten Tenors is a group of tenors that obviously failed in their solo careers, so they're now trying to sing as a group, and really failing to impress anyone. If you want GOOD tenors, check out the Scottish Tenors, the Three Tenors, and Chanticleer (they're amazing! Yay for counter-tenors!), because these guys are a complete waste of time.

this is the worst wannabe techno popera i have ever heard...it seriously made me cringe- the arangements are terrible!

individually, they are really good, but not good enough to make it each on their own, so this is great!! 10 tenors!! tey really have beautiful voices

This is terrible as opera. Sort of like the Swingle Singers on Absinthe. That said, if this very modestly priced album encourages the mildly musically-interested in listening to real opera, it is well worth the investment. These are not the "Three Tenors" but they have obviously been well-trained and are capable of singing properly arranged arias, which these pop tunes are obviously not. Although this album does not contain arias, it is not "dentist office" music either.

This album is good but nothing compared to their songs live. They have an awesome stage presence and I recommend all their fans should see them live.

I am not sure whether the more negative reviews came from simply listening to the songs or albums, but I can say I saw these highly talented guys perform superiorly in person. They put a show to their music and so it's not just a music concert and you don't just see a comedy show. They blend very well and their music whether remade or not is done well. I support the The Ten Tenors!

Anyone who says that this group is amazing is wrong. They tend to be a bit pitchy and their music lacks any real power. It's interesting that many of their songs are remakes, but I think that the originals hold my interest a lot better than these rehashes and trancriptions.
