The only reason I don't give this giant set five stars is that it doesn't contain all of Spike's best tunes. But there are DOZENS of Jones rarities here that don't show up in many compilations, so for the Jones completist this is a must. If you are new to Spike Jones, I'd recommend that you start with one of the standard "best of" albums, containing the original RCA releases. Be warned that famous songs like "Chloe," "Glow Worm" and "Libestraum" are here, but NOT in the versions released in the US to regular audiences. These are alternate versions recorded for V-discs, which were sent overseas to entertain the troops on Armed Forces Radio. Probably just as funny, but if you're familiar with the originals, you may be disappointed. There are also a number of tracks which are moderately-funny filler, but not Spike's "A" list. Since I am a hard-core Spike-o-phile, I own all these tracks as well as the originals. They're always good for a laugh.

what a refreshing collection of timeless classics. i used to cry myself to sleep wondering why spike jones wasnt featured in the vast library of the itunes music store. i especially love quirky classic Chlo-E...which i know is going top the charts.....soon......im sure of it....
