Lynyrd Skynyrds story is that of Rock n Rolls Myths & Legends!! ALL-AMERICAN southern boys from the ‘other side’ of the tracks who banded together and went onto become one of the biggest bands of their time... Led by the charismatic Ronnie Van Zant they moved onto LEGENDARY STATUS and set the standard for which Southern rock would forever be measured! Then, one fateful evening while on tour supporting their recent release ‘Street Survivors’ their ConvAir tour plane ran out of fuel over the wooded swamps of Gillsburg, MS.... taking the lives of Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines and his sister Cassie Gaines, as well as both pilots & their close friend & tour manager Dean Kilpatrick. The groups legendary three pronged guitar assault led by Allen Collins, Gary Rossington & Ed King (later replaced by Steve Gaines) remains the greatest guitar trio to ever step foot on stage...BAR NONE! Classics like ‘Saturday Night Special’ , ‘That Smell’ & ‘Working for MCA’ can be still heard on the airwaves today... others like ‘Tuesday’s Gone’, ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ & the immortal ‘FreeBird’ have been covered & sampled by several other legendary groups from both yesteryear & today & are still played in heavy rotation on classic rock stations around the world. Long live Skynyrd nation!

I thank God they are still going and with who is left. There is no one else playing it live. Attended 3 shows on this tour and every one was incredible! Going to see them do a couple shows in Florida this summer. Because one day there will be no more. If you haven't seen them since Ronnie then do it now. You will be glad you did! A Country Boy

This band really is a group of survivors and they sound fantastic— the album is energetic, tight, creative, and sound as good or better than they ever have. To them and, thank you for making this album, really enjoy it.

Been a tribute band since early 80’s. The originals are gone but not forgotten. Enough live albums, should have saved your money all these years.

This was the greatest show I’ve ever been to period. I’m proud to be from the greatest city in the world, Jacksonville, FL! We had Skynyrd, Hatchet and .38 Special!
