Was never my favorite Donna Summer album BUT since this 40th anniversary release, I’ve actually fallen in love with it. The remixes are awesome and the quality of the original is sooooo much better here. So hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I hope they continue this trend of anniversary releases. The next should be “I’m A Rainbow” and my hopes are they remaster, remix and get Giorgio to do his magic and make them suites ala live and more, once upon a time and bad girls. Love the way they blend. Wishful thinking :)

It’s finally here! Donna Summer’s 40th Anniversary Edition of her landmark album “The Wanderer” which was released on October 21, 1980. While not a massive hit, the record did have the top 10 album title track as well as the rock anthem, “Cold Love” which gained Summer a Grammy nomination for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. This Anniversary Edition has seven new remixes by Italian production team Lê Flex. Get this! It’s a must-have for all Donna Summer fans.

So awesome to see this great album revived. Donna is a legend. The remixes of The Wanderer and Looking Up are pop ear candy. Loved this rock tinged album! She could sing anything.

Can't believe this album got 40 years now... I remember when Rolling Stone Maganize published a fantastic review to the original album. Giorgo Moroder changed the disco style to Funk-Pop-Rock and of course Donna Summer could sing about anything! I'm glad we got some good remixes for fans to celebrate the extended anniversary version!

Donna's most critically aclaimed and underrated masterpiece! If you are not familiar with this album, listen without comparing it to her other more familiar sounds. New remixes are great for the new generation to sample Donna's brilliance, however, the original versions are classics that have withstood the passage of 40 years!

This album seemed to be so undrated, at the time everyone wanted Donna to continue her Disco path. I believe this album was a wise move on Donna and her team. I liked the remixes, i too was expecting to hear the mixes to have a disco feel but i was wrong. The mixes are done well and i'm hoping to see more of Donna's albums being remixed the same as this gem. A must have for all of Donna's fans and to those who are new to Donna to give it a try, you won't be sorry.
    • Buy for the original album tracks for sure!

I was excited when first seeing this preorder. It’s one of my favorite Donna albums. But, where are bonus tracks and demos/alternate versions?...Wasted opportunity. No need for dance remixes unless it’s another complete album of Donna dance remixes. And it shouldn’t be categorized as disco. This was her Rock/Pop album (after winning the Rock single Grammy for “Hot Stuff” and Disco was unfairly considered dead at the time.
