    • My second favorite album by Tears For Fears

This album is almost as good as Elemental. It is also very addicting to listen to. When I listen to the music on this album, I am taken on a trip away from life-like on a mini vacation. This album kicks ass.

I had a 😊💡about adding this song to a 🎥 saga soundtrack based on the relationships that my made up 😊/😈 half-blood witch character, Hope Estrella Feelgood-Potter-Malfoy-Riddle, her 😊 boyfriend/husband, Harry James Potter and her 😈 boyfriends/husbands, Draco Lucius Malfoy and Tom Marvolo Riddle for sinister First 💃🏻s at dark weddings. 👍🏻s up if you agree with this review.

A gorgeous album that swells with energy and emotion. This one is on my all time play list. It took awhile to grow on me but wow, a masterpiece.
    • Roland Orzabal at his best

What a pleasant surprise!!! I liked Elemental a lot and was very hesitant in purchasing this album. Orzabal is one talented dude!! I would qualify this album as perfect because I can listen to every single track and enjoy it. My taste in music is very main stream and I can enjoy anything on the radio. Therefore how can I not know about this album from 1996? Maybe I would not have liked it or maybe they did a poor job in the marketing back then. It is 2011. This album is like a rock opera, beautiful and varying in emotion. I call this album "The Madness of Roland" because I am amazed at how creative he can be with his music and best of all he is very progressive in his music. I absolute love his hard rocking music and loud guitars.
    • What a great album....

I bought this when it first came out years ago on cd...loved it...was in my rotation for months (much like Menomena is now)...cd was relegated to a dusty file cabinet that contains about 400 other cds...so getting it out was a hassle...that's if I remembered it...was driving home late the other night when I heard Los Reyes Calolicos...christ...it was like being struck by a friggin lightning bolt...just downloaded the album...what a fantastic, creative work. How is it possible to write music like this? I don't even understand how this is done. Buy it...listen to it all the way thru...then you too will be wondering: how is this done?

This is def some of Rolands best work, he leaves behind the top 40 mind set and reaches deep into the soul and brings to market the deeper side of tears for fears. I'm sure all true fans own this cut. I give five stars...

Arguably, Tears For Fears' most overlooked gem is "Raoul and The Kings Of Spain". Excellent production and some of Roland Orzabal's best vocals. While the album does not feature Curt Smith, it is still an excellent release and should be recognized in the TFF canon. Sketches of Pain is incredible. The title track, Falling Down, I Choose You, and Me and My Big Ideas, are the key tracks to this release. As mentioned by another reviewer;the album also boasted some of the best Tears For Fears b-sides (not found on I-Tunes). Rarities like "All of the Angels", "Until I Drown", Creep" (Radiohead cover), "The Madness of Roland" should be on I-Tunes. Please correct this soon!
