Not their best. Need to stick to the sound that made them great.

Not great…miss the Reckoning. Hope they go back to what made them great.
When's their next album release??

I've been a Needtobreathe fan ever since The Heat. I don't think they've ever had a bad album........until Caves. The style of sound is all over the place. Some songs sound like Oasis, U2, The Afters, Traveling Willbury's and Wilder Woods, but not Needtobreathe. It took until Track 10 (Reaching Out to Find You) to find a hint of the Needtobreathe sound. I've gone back and listened to the album a few times to try to like it, but I still can't get into it. I'm hoping the next album gets back to Needtobreathe's roots.
A sad album

I listened to the whole album and just felt sad. Maybe they are trying to empathize with hurting people? Maybe they are trying to be gritty?
It’s a great album!

More than happy with a less religious album. It’s more about good music for me.

NEEDTOBREATHE has done it again! you redid the Reckoning, but with the Holy Spirit!!! I love every single song on this album! there is not one mellow, downer song on here, but only praising and glorifying all that God has done! with each Cave you conquered, I am in awe. definently the best NEEDTOBREATHE album yet, and I cant wait to see what you guys do next!!!!
I REVIEW CAVES WITH 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New and improved

When I first heard the new songs that were released, I wasn’t sure how I felt but then once I listen to the entire album, it is straight fire. NTB never seems to disappoint. They are always evolving and changing in different directions but every song has so much heart and meaning. I love this album!
Songs and Reviews

Reviews- I'd like to say I'm suprised at the vitriol in some of the comments because how dare a band stepped out of their lane? This album is not listed as Christian, Its under Rock. If they choose to widen their lane and maybe bring in other listeners to their Christian albums. Isn't that a good thing? Songs - I like NTB's sound, but I am not a superfan who must own everything they put out. There are a couple on here I will preview again before buying.
Too modern - missing Needtobreathe’s folk vibe

Been a Needtobreathe fan since 2006. I travel to their shows all across the US, sometimes multiple times a year, and listen to their music weekly. To me, it doesn’t matter how many Christian songs (or if there even is any) on their albums. Needtobreathe is good because of their instruments, because they aren’t modern, because they sound raw, and their lyrics are beautifully written.
This album is modern, overproduced, and lacks everything that actually makes Needtobreathe, well, Needtobreathe. The folky sound has disappeared and it has been replaced with the sound of Christian radio music - which is really not a great sound. I really hope they got whatever this is out of their system. Even though I am sure we will have to wait another two years for them to drop the next album - I really hope the next album goes back to the band’s foundation and loses the modern twist they brought to this album. I cannot foresee them growing like they have been putting out albums like this. Bring back the folky instruments and lose whatever inspired this album.
Minor Chords

Minor chords used in excess doesn’t work for NTB. To open with Caves, full of them, only to transition into another song with slightly fewer minor chords? You gotta switch it up but compile it in a way that makes sense…the rest of the album is not cohesive in style, but returns to their usual chord progressions and is lyrically sound.
Amazing as always

Been enjoying each single as it releases, listening on repeat. Not the type to do that, usually, but so good & well worth it!!
