    • Unlistenable

Oh, please. This album is 95% unlistenable. Love Will Follow is bearable. But the synth accompaniment is like fingernails on a chalkboard. If you want to hear how Love Will Follow should sound, download the "From The Redwoods" album, which is sensational. I'm sure Kenny would rather not admit to recording this truly horrible set.

Kenny Loggins fans need this one. There is just something about how it fits smack in the middle of the 80s. The part of the 80s that doesn't make the cliche reel. "Forever" is the pop anchor, but the rest of the songs all stand on their own individually. "Loraine" and "No lookin' back" are simply wonderful, energetic feel good songs. Enjoy.

Yes!!!- I must co-sign on the love for "Love Will Follow". Love it the same way I did back then. Remains in my playlist today. Silky smooth and Dave Koz on the sax solo is the icing. Thought I was the only one who knew this song.

This song's haunting sound and captivating melody will put you into that perfect mood. The sound is timeless..this song could have been a hit in the 90's as well as today.

Great track and Forever is a near perfect power ballad. Get this as an example of how good Kenny was before he turned into a soundtrack hit machine with the awful Top Gun song.

I have loved this song since I first heard it after moving into my very first apartment back in 1985. I felt like a adult that who was listening to adult music. This song puts you in a mood of comfort and nostalgia.
    • Celebrating the Human Voice through Family

Kenny Loggins' 1985 Vox Humana was his salute to many of the family groups of the day. He loved the sound of such family groups as DeBarge and The Pointer Sisters. In an interview promoting this album he said just that. That's why he asked these groups to add their talents to the songs I'll Be There (El and Bunny DeBarge) and I'm Gonna Do It Right (The Pointer Sisters: Anita, June and Ruth). This album is a wonderful example of '80's wonderful pop fare. The songs are full of energy and it is as the other reviewers say, shimmering with synth pop. What makes this album a great bargain on iTunes is the fact that the 6:25 min. verson of I'm Gonna Do It Right was not on the vinyl LP, but here it is so you can dance for a couple more minutes to the great voices of Kenny with The Pointer Sisters and Shiela E helping out on percussion. Buy this one.

Kenny wanted to celebrate the human voice from different families. (DeBarge, Pointer Sisters, Howard Hewitt) Shimmering is a good description for the sound of the album. Visionary stuff on this one. Loraine is my favorite closely followed by Forever. He is moving some serious air on that track.
    • Really unlike any other 80s record...

Maybe I am lost in nostalgia but I love this record. The synth is so shimmering and pretty, plus the inclusion of DeBarge (well, couple of them) in the background for "I'll Be There" make it well worth the investment. And I dare a soft rock fan to resist the full 7.13 version of "Love Will Folllow". Heaven.
