      I love classical music but this album is my first recording of Philip Glass' music. I like it! It's very powerful and there are some really great themes, though some sections seemed a bit repetitive. Anyway, nice CD.

      Had I been aware of this recording in 1993 I would still feel the same way as I do now; that is to say, just when you think Maestro Glass has come to a rather bleak spot in his career only to write film scores for the remainder of his life an album like this is offered on iTunes. It was worth saving my old vintage CD player with big speakers just to enjoy Glass' work on "Itaipu" The expressiveness of the percussion, the euphoric vocals, the rich sounding orchestra, I just can't play it loud enough.
