This album was originally issued as Strictly Instrumental and is full of really cool blues instrumentals. They are fun to listen to and fun to play. His guitar tone and the recording quality of the backing instruments is really great. Was this done at Chess studios in the early 60s? One of my all time favorite guitar albums. I learned how to play guitar partly by trying to play these tunes, as well as Ventures music. Clapton has referred to Freddie King as one of his inspirations and he has recorded some of his tunes including the instrumental Hide Away which is on this album.

1:30 in the morning... too early to go home because a guy like Freddy King keeps the house movin'. A set of songs that reminds me of some of the best nights of my life. Come on, Freddy. One more set!
