This album was a gift to me as a child, in LP vinyl form, in the mid-1980's. None of the songs are ones that you'd normally recognize as traditional Christmas songs, at least not that I know of, and in that respect it makes a unique and special addition to your Christmas music collection. The songs are varied in style and tone, but all high quality. There are playful songs, songs that soar, songs that make you feel warm and remind you of the intimacies of Christmas with family, some of Whittaker's famous whistling, and some religious-inspired themes. I think it is safe to say Roger Whittaker had his heart in it when the record was made. I'd like to see more people listening to him and appreciating his talents.
