    • Worth it

always good to have favorites on hand, in a different setting. just having the extended versions of jimi thing and #41 makes my day. there's so much energy in the album, yet slightly more contained than previous performances. almost overpowering, but not quite. it fills the room with presence and takes the loneliness away. there's a hint of irony, a bit of sarcasm and a lot of soul. makes me wipe the smirk off my face and just enjoy the day. and that's what good music should do - help you with the mundane without taking you away from reality.

No Butch and not the fan I once was...the new music isn't nearly as good. I'm sure it's just me but the band is not the same without Leroi, add to that my lack of interest in the new music and I'm not the fan I once was. With that said, I cherish many wonderful memories seeing the Band and I cherish the music. Jeff does as good of a job as anyone could on the sax, he's got huge shoes to fill. Miss you 'Roi!

You know, I gotta say, I'm not even close to being the biggest DMB fan. Defintiely love love love them, but you know, I don't go over the top with it. I've seen them live 4 times, but have seen hundreds of other bands too. STILL, Dave and co. puts on theeeee BEST live show I've ever seen and will probably ever see. I've seen everyone to Hanson to James Taylor to Sir Paul McCartney himself...DMB just does it. They're brilliant - And it's such a good display of that here on this album. You can't go wrong...

I was at this concert. It was amazing. My friend Amber who weighs like 90 pounds soaking wet, stood at the very front of the stage all day and held her ground all by herself to be right up front. Good for her. Anyway, was also at Piedmont Park so I have been on the DMB's last two albums. Granted I wasn't on stage, but if you listen real close, you migh hear me scream or something. Whatever, I was there. Can Tim Reynolds say that? The answer is no. So on behalf of the band, we just want to say thanks for all the support.

I had to buy this album just for the version of #41. I watched the show on Palladia and just had to have it. "Satellite" is also quite excellent. If you like DMB, there is no reason not to buy the album, if not just for #41. Very unique. Live DMB always impresses.

Sledgehammer is GREAT! Best cover I've ever heard of it, worth more than 99c on it's own
