I can't say enough about this album. I couldn't possibly like it anymore! The cover of I Will Follow You Into The Dark shows so much emotion not only through the lyrics but the vocals and paino as well. Beautifully done!

I was amazed to hear the same music in a different light. The change can be subtle at times and yet still takes on a different meaning completely. You can hear how he has matured over the years and how much more depth his music has gained. If this is the direction he's taking I cannot wait to see what the next step will be!

I haved loved Gavin's music. I've had both of his cd's and been waiting for new stuff for some time. I was very disappointed with this cd. Not only did he redo his own songs, but the new versions are awful compared to the originals. I feel like he's crying and can barely get out the words. I just hope that my wasted $4 I spent on this EP will go toward's Gavin sitting down are writing new music that everyone is looking foward to. I am still a big fan of Gavin Mikhail but I was let down by this EP.

Completely amazes me all the time. Mr Mikhail is one of the most talented and amazing musical artists I have come across my entire life. Hearing the new music, seeing the accomplishments he has made is truly something that I could personally treasure. I absolutely love the new sound. Yes, it is alot softer than the other 2 albums but it is also very personal sounding and very calming. This music always makes my days better. Keep up the amazing work. Can't wait for the next one!!!

Of course Mr. Mikhail's music can be upbeat, fast, angry...and then it can be soft. That seems to be a theme. Soft. These songs are played with so much feeling and emotion pressed into each key on the piano.
I had never really listened to the lyrics of Death Cab for Cutie's "I Will Follow You into the Dark." But hearing Gavin play it and sing it really made me listen. All of these songs. Beautiful before, of course, but when the artist and listener take time, so much more can be perceived.
The new songs are great as they are. Of course, now I want to hear them with accompanying instruments, the whole "piano rock" sound Gavin has cultivated on both of his albums.
I listened through these songs on a grey, rainy day. Looking through huge windows, folding clothes. My mood melted into the music and the ambience of the weather, the natural light. Any music that can accomplish that...well, I just hope I can find that place of harmony again.

One of the most impressive artists I have bothered to keep up with over the years. His sound is amazing, clean and you can really sense his honesty through his music. His latest work gives you the sense you are in the same room as he and his piano explores emotions and the human spirit. This deserves to be listened to with a pair of high quality headphones over and over again.
