I have been up for hrs just listening and downloading many of the soft, sexy, sensual songs! I really like Love That Girl, 100 yard dash, and many of the songs from the Live spot The Blues House! He sings like Eddie Kendrick and a couple of the other old school vibes!! I luv what he sings about! LOVE and how to treat a woman and a man! Relationships, respect and on and on! I could listen to him forever! I need a man like him!!! Keep on singing and I'll keep listening and buying!!!! LOVE THAT MAN!!!
    • Singing the praises of Brother Raphael!

I think I have written this somewhere before -- but here I go again, somewhere in heaven Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes and so many other musicians are singing the praises of Mr. Raphael Saadiq for keeping the music candle burning bright. They are also singing praises for so many others like Raheem, Musiq, Dwele, Anthony Hamilton and the girls -- Erykah, Jill and India. The important thing is that they're all still singing, in hopes that we music lovers all remember that what they brought to the table wasn't wasted, and we are all the better for it. Thank you, Brother Raphael.

They still made singers like him. Sophisticated styling and phrasing, he makes you sit back and exhale. Very U.K sounding music.

After so many years of the same recycled garbage, R&B makes a comeback. This is the music I grew up with. The music that actually makes you feel something.
    • Try Duets with Lennie Kravitz

He had a good idea trying to retro some Motown and 60s's R&B, but he has no soul in his voice at all. He should try rock and soul with Lennie Kravitz who keeps re-doing the same Hendriz song as well.

    • It will make you wish you had been seen the soul revues of the '60s...

This album captures the spirit and energy of one of Raphael Saadiq's live shows --- no small feat. He's keeping the vibe of the old Motown soul revues alive single-handedly. If you love old soul or new soul, you've got to get this album.
