Funky Divas

Ok. Maybe not a perfect album, but a lot of REALLY great songs from a REALLY great time in my childhood. This album was in every jukebox. I remember going to The Wall to buy it on cassette for about $6.99 and listening to it over and over in my mono tape recorder while playing with friends. Also, I remember it being one of the better examples of Dolby when played on a proper stereo. I was 9 and couldn't afford a CD player, but it has some real punch and sounded great. ACTUALLY, all this nostalgia makes me curious to buy a new deck and run it again. No, I'll just get it on iTunes...

En Vogue is easily they best female group of all time. No one else even comes close before or after. They all can sing lead AND harmonize, it's amazing! It's really too bad their egos got in the way of them continuing on much after this because they really are matchless. The only group I can think of that is a close second is Destiny's Child but they're not really that close. Anyone who even just likes this kind of music owes it to themselves to own this album. It's their best

I've been listening to the Funky Divas album ever since I got the cassette tape when it first dropped in '92, then later on Cd and now on mp3 format, and I never get tired of it. En Vogue is hands down the best girl group of the 90's and no other group since then can compare, and their Funky Divas album is an undeniable classic. I can't believe it's been two decades since this came out, but I will never stop listening to the funky divas of soul!

Just found this cd and am thrilled! Met my husband when this came out and we went thru some of the same things these songs were about! Boy takes me back to some Really good times! Thanks for the memories!

Such an Amazing album. But actually this album was released March 28, 1992 not September 1
