Falling of the Rain

The live version of Falling of the Rain (one of my favorite songs) is simply phenomenal. It’s amazing to hear this amazing song in the correct pitch. It’s even better! I was almost brought to tears with how amazing it was to hear that and all of the other Cold Spring Harbor sings in the correct pitch
Roots of an amazing career

This album (with help of its title track) really put Joel's career into full throttle, and this release contains a bonus, the WMMR recording(of which I had never heard until this sampling). This extra gives you a great flavor of his early career, featuring live versions of tracks from "Cold Spring Harbor" as well!
Although I have this(Piano Man) on vinyl and CD, it is definitely worth the $15 to purchase this edition, and I will soon be doing so soon!
Nice :)

they are separate trackes so they have a "cost" associated with them, but they are not factored into the cost of the album.
if you add up all the actual music tracks on this album there are 21 and you are getting the lot for 14.99.
great album at a great price.

There are 12 tracks on the WMMR set, and the whole package is $14.99. Not sure how that equates to iTunes charging for intros. The "filler" on live albums is usually a separate track, but the album price rarely includes them. That said, worth the 15 bucks to finally have a clean copy of a landmark live show. Too bad corporate radio today would never see the "viability" of shows like this.
Pay For Intros?

The WMMR live broadcast is fantastic, just a shame that iTunes is making you pay extra for the Intro to the songs.
WMMR Radio makes this possible!

First off, this WMMR recording is more than essential. WIthout this radio recording of "Captain Jack" and WMMR repeated playings of it in the Philadelphia area by DJ Ed Sciaky, Columbia Records may have never gone searching for Billy Joel at the Executive Lounge in Los Angeles. Quite simply put, this recording put Billy Joel on the map and set him on his way. Having an official release of this is crucial and helps to tell a very important part of the Billy Joel story. After years and years of nothing but poor bootleg quality recordings, it is fantastic that this is now available on the market. THIS IS ESSENTIAL FOR EVERY BILLY JOEL FAN.
Amazing live album! dissapointing remaster...

I truely feel that this is the "perfect" album... The origional master was superb, but I feel that the quality of the artist is better than the usual "reissue for the sake of reissueing". Thank god half of the pacage is worth the price. Dont buy the origional album tracks because you probably already own them. This release is truely a legacy release, lots of new stuff. The 3 unheard songs are superb and up to par with what Billy actualy put on his albums. Had they actualy remastered the origional album i would have given 5 stars
