Why so long for this album?

If Brad Delp took his life waiting for Tom Scholz to finish this album, then i can understand why. This is a complete waste of time listening too. A great band at one time with the first two albums. Third Stage was decent. These last few releases have been utter crap. Not sure why it takes so long to produce such dreck. I can't even imagine this stuff being played live!!!

They tried horribly to capture what used to be. They used the same "formula" with different voices. I just thought this album was awful. I'd like my money back!

I have heard better from them!! They are looking for a last hurrah. Nice try strain music it is a poor try but no cigar. Save your money!!!!???

Some of the best music bands conjure up in thier youth are a result of hard work, determination, being broke, getting rejected and putting in every effort from the soul to forge ahead no matter what. Boston was one of those bands. After "Boston" and "Dont Look Back" they lost the urge to keep reaching deep. Many bands suffer from this and that is a shame. Delp will be missed, there is no doubt, but I think he would have wanted Sholtz to remember him by going back to basics. The Boston of today is capable of so much more. Yes its easy to say bands evolve and change, but this ultimately is to find an excuse or reasons behind a lackluster effort. I want to give this 5 stars, I want it to be as good as the first albums or even surpass them, but it isnt.
As for Apple sidelining "Corporate America".. well they dont like to promote that now do they? That must really sting Tim Cook.

Boston fans stuck in 1976 need to quit griping. Things change. Scholz listened to the fans after Corporate America came out and gave them something closer to the old days without falling completely back in time. People also cried due to the lack of Brad Delp on the albums. "Sorely missing Brad Delp" over and over again. Well, no $%^#. We all miss him. Yet, Scholz listened and gave us some remastered songs with Brad Delp in them. Now tons of reviews on here complaining that the album contains songs previously released. Quit griping and enjoy the album. No it ain't 1976, it never will be. Live in the now! Scholz is.

I'm glad Boston came out with this album. Yes, the drums don't sound very good but when has Boston ever been a band you listen to because of their drums?
And ps to all you Love Life and Hope haters there is a great album called "Barry Goudreau" it's the classic Boston sound just a different band name
