Alright, GHV2 covers Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray of Light, Music, and some soundtrack hits. If you're looking for her first through fourth album collection, look for the immaculate collection. Rain, one of my personal faves, is not here probably because it's on the ballad collection. American Pie is on the overseas Music album, so it was not included here. Also absent are nothing really matters, you must love me, and bad girl. I love nearly all the songs on here, but, if you want to buy one, buy power of goodbye.

Live to Tell isn't on here because it was not released between 1991 and 2001. This compilation picks up where the last one left off. American Pie was a dud. No wonder its not here.
If you're going to have a conversation about what is and isn't included, lets ask why "Rain" is absent, "I'll Remember", and "This used to be my playground".. The answer of course is Something To Remember.
On a final note, she really should have used the Miami Mix Edit of Don't Cry For Me Argentina. It was the version that hit radio waves, and lit up clubs into 1997 while people patiently waited for Ray Of Light. Furthermore, the collection needed more dance tracks. Its a very ballad heavy collection.
Why Did They Edit "Human Nature"?

If you're going to include "Human Nature" on a "Greatest Hits", then make it the original one. It's not Itunes fault, it's either Madonna's or the record company that did this. This cd would have been SO MUCH BETTER had it been songs from the original cd, instead of chopped up ones. Take "Don't Cry For Me Argentina". Her hit with that song, was a dance hit, not the slow version and the dance version was a the Top 10 hit, not the movie version.

No new songs in this compilation, if you miss some Madonna's Albums you cant take this, this album is great, but missing some good songs like American Pie, Bad Girl, You Must Love Me, even "Time Stood Still" is better than others here like "What it feels like for a girl", if you have "Immaculate Collection" you must have GHV2...(just for fans).

Whoever picked the songs for this Greatest Hits album did well, it has all the good ones from her newer stuff. I think "Bedtime Story" is one of my favorites though, the production on it is so cool. And I don't care as much for the last few songs, but overall it's a good buy. I have the CD, but I suppose buying it here on iTunes I wouldn't even have to worry about those ones.

I have had this album for years. Nice to see that itunes finally put it up. Madonna put out another album of ballad hit before this album. It's called "Something to Remember", live to tell is on that album. These albums are must have more Madonna fans!

This is the first Madonna album I ever bought (I was 15 when it was released) and it has led me to buy her next 3 CD's (American Life, Confessions and Hard Candy) which I think are all amazing. However GHV2 is the one I play the most till this day, and for someone who doesn't own all of Madonna's albums from the 90's or Music, I think this album is great! The only other tracks I would buy, if you listen and like them are:
American Pie (from the international version of Music)
Nothing Really Matters (from Ray of Light)
You Must Love Me (from the Evita Soundtrack)
Other notable songs are This Used to be My Playground, Rain and You'll See but I guess they were not included since they are already on another Madonna compilation album, Something to Remember.
