Like other reviewers said, this is a highly underrated album. Listen to it on its own merits, without any preconceived notions or expectations and you’ll agree.

I don't understand why Chili Pepper freaks hate this album just because John Frusciante is not on this album.Dave Navarro is actually a better guitarist than John.I love all the songs on this album and also my favorite RHCP album.Even Flea sings on his own in the short song Pea.I think Dave Navarro should have stayed with the band longer.Highly Recommended for Chili Pepper fans,Jane's Addiction fans, and music fans in general.

Many people hate this for dumb reasons. "Is not funky enough" some people say. However, various tracks make for a fun, funky, and fresh experience. "John isn't here." is the worst excuse I've seen. Just shut the hell up and enjoy it as it's own seperate entity
