    • True ELO

Though this album was never a 'hit', it has been one of my favorite ELO albums. I have the vinyl and just recently bought the digital. I find all the songs enjoyable, and each examplifies the 'E' of ELO. Also, Poker is a great rocker with Lynn relinquishing his lead vocal. Add in some backward lyrics in 'Fire on High' and 'Down Home Town' adds to the fun.

I have this album on vinyl. It had sections on the LP that you could play backwards and the songs flowed into each other with little to no space in between. When the CD came out I immediately bought it, expecting the gentle flow from song to song, instead it was a chopped up mess with parts of tracks missing. I would buy this from i-tunes but I'm afraid it would be the same hack job as the CD.

If I was asked which album I'd want on a desert island. This would be it.

If I could take one album with me for the rest of my life, this is it. ELO's finest. The perfect blend of haunting rock and sing along songs. To me this IS their Greatest Hits.

Often overlooked as among the best ELO (or any) albums. Some of the best songwriting and variety ever. And... Fire on High is worth the price of admission. CBS Wide World of Sports theme!!! Absolute Classic.
