I first saw Jesse in 1977, at a club in Montreal, where he had gone to avoid the war. He was a miracle on stage: instant connections with the audience, tight bluegrass, honky-tonk, or bluesy songs. He's been my favorite since then: he's moved back, but nothing else in his music has changed. He's a witty, self-deprecating stage presence and a not-to-be-missed show.
    • I like it!

After discovering The Band I wanted to look for more groups like them and I found this album. I think Robbie Robertson was the one who actually exposed Jesse. I Can't Stand Up Alone s my favorite song on here.
    • Alright? :P
