Most music on this release will be familiar to many people but there are some otherwise unreleased gems, and some exclusive remixes of existing tracks. In any case, it's cool to hear Prince's choices for a mixtape of his own work and the music is sequenced well. And this is Prince in 90s peak - there are numerous stunners here, even in truncated form.
The other thing to remember is that this was only intended for the Versace fashion show and to an extent it should be seen as being of historical and archival interest, more than a distinct album. However, knowing that this was intended for the Versace fashion show recontextualizes the music and makes you hear it in a new way, which is very cool.
