I bought this on vinyl backnwhen it was first released. Jimi had formed a new group called Band Of Gypsies. This 1969 New Years Eve performance was one of his best. He's firing on all cylinders!

Let me preface this by saying that Band Of Gypsys is my favorite record of all time. I have listened to it thousands of times. If you’re just getting into Jimi and have listened to his greatest hits/first couple albums, check this out, it changed my life.
I bought this album on iTunes around 2015/2016, and for the 50th anniversary, the version I had purchased was deleted from iTunes, and replaced with this one. In order to have this on my devices, I have to shell out 10 dollars again, because Janie Hendrix and co. decided they needed more money. Disgraceful.

This album is GREAT!!! Hendrix’ family are embarrassingly greedy. They just released the entire three night box set of Band Of Gypsies about a year ago or less and yet here they are with yet another reissue of an album that has been re-released half a dozen times with different album titles. Terrible.
