    • Not very funny

David Cross comes across very arrogant, bitter, and angry. I found myself not really laughing at his observations/comedy and noticed that the crowd in the recording wasn’t really laughing all that much either.

... 'Nuff said. David's work is as fresh today as when it was first released and few comics can be this hilarious and socially engaging simultaneously. This is brilliant stuff, to be sure: as brazen and irreverent as it is articulate and intelligent, this is intellectually honest humor at its finest. Listen with an open mind and enjoy this as well as his other great works (but this one is still my favorite). ;-)

David Cross is a COMEDIC ACTOR not a COMEDIAN. OK well a MEDIOCRE COMEDIAN but a GREAT C actor and analrapist.
    • Angry rant (hold for applause)

A comedian expressing a political stance is nothing new. A lot of times a skilled performer will take a very specific issue and tackle it on a very relatable, humorous level in an effort to make a point and get some laughs. Cross dedicates almost this entire album to angry rambling. He seems more concerned with making a point than making anyone laugh. He trashes the south, right-wingers, and religious people. I'm fine with this. Comedians have been hitting these topics forever. But with Cross it never goes beyond sounding like the blog post of an angry, opinionated college freshman. Even though the content is somewhat questionable, he's got a very good delivery. He knows how to read an audience. He knows when to inject some shock. And I've enjoyed some of his stand-up, just not this album.
    • Talked to support at Apple...

They refunded my money and told me this album was going to be under investigation, so I should not purchase it for another two weeks. They told me this about four days ago. Hopefully they aren't full of crap and they actually will fix this problem, but I have a feeling that this problem won't be resolved and I'll have to travel to Best Buy to get the album. This was the second album I had trouble with. Quarashi also has a CD that has duplicate tracks.
    • DO NOT BUY THIS UNTIL ITUNES FIXES IT

I love this album. More accurately, I love half of this album, because that's all you'll get for $11.99. Somehow, iTunes managed to copy Disc 2 of this CD twice so that while the track names are all different, what you really are getting is the same half twice. Don't believe me? Preview "Lunch with Frankenstein" and "My Wife's Crazy!". They are identical. I didn't realize this until I got to track 10. The iTunes support people were very gracious about refunding my money, but over a month later I see that the flawed album is still for sale. DON'T BUY IT! Either go out and get the CD yourself, or e-mail the crap out of Apple until they fix this and you can buy it online like God intended. That being said, this is a great comedy album, no question. Just not this version.
    • Do Not Buy this Album UNLESS iTunes has fixed it!

When I downloaded this album, what I heard was funny. The problem is that you hear the same tracks twice and do not get half the album. For example, the "Lunch with Frankenstein" track is identical to the "My Wife's Crazy!" track. Check out the track times of tracks 1-9 and 10-17... they're identical. So this album, as it is right now, is screwed up. I have reported the problem to iTunes (and by the way, for those of you who have already bought it, you CAN get a refund if you reference this download, explain the problem and ask for a refund). If they ever fix it, I will be downloading it again. But whether they can or will fix it remains to be seen.

After knowing David Cross as Tobias Fumke in Arrested Development, I was really looking forward to listening to this cd. However, it seems to me that Cross is just another angry guy mad at the world and everybody who disagrees with him. I enjoyed his tracks about LA and Ricky Henderson, but other then that, I was just waiting for his long rants to end. Not worth buying

Why in god's name is everything on this album twice? "Lunch with Frankenstein" is exactly the same as "My Wife's Crazy!" Any guesses on whether or not this is an internal glitch? Look at the track times and then play a sample, and you'll see what I'm talking about. . .disappointing to say the least; if I wanted to hear it twice, I'd have put my iPod on repeat.
