Relaxing Sounds of Nature, Vol. 2

Refers ONLY to "Gentle Thunderstorm" I have been looking for plain thunderstorm tracks (without music) to help me get to sleep and came across this. I liked the sample and bought this and another track from a different artist. After less than five minutes, I switched to the other track. I listen to this on my iPod with Bose earbuds, and while the rain was lovely and gentle, the thunder DOES sound fake to me, and that drives me nuts. I have heard much better than this. It's not too bad, and I've definitely heard worse, but it did not satisfy what I thought it should sound like. It does not surprise me that others like it, and perhaps playing it on something besides Bose earbuds would make a difference, but for me, it did not live up to the other good reviews, and I cannot recommend it when I believe other tracks available on iTunes totally blow it away.

I use this to meditate to and fall asleep to. I love the gentle thunderstorm. The only track I don't like is the Twilight On Lake Placid. The birds are a little much, but other then that it is really relaxing.

ive only listened to the samples on itunes, and im already impressed! definetly the perfect way to relax if your like me and cant do homework in silence. truly beautiful!

I'm in my third year of college and I've had insomnia for about 5 months now. I'm stressed out, homesick, and lonely and these sounds feel like they're just saving my life!! I'm listening to them at night and they're helping me sleep! I am so thankful for this CD. It's even better than the fist volume!

I listened to snippets of other nature sounds offered here on iTunes, and John Grout's are by far the best in terms of their audio quality. He's captured these sounds with enough clarity and high definition that all the subtle nuances can be heard...the fat raindrops hitting with a plop, thunder's roll disappearing off into infinity, the deep bass of a wave crashing on the shoreline. It's all there, and for those who revere nature's sounds, this album is as good as it gets.

I bought volume 1 & 2. Both are great!! I like to listen while I do my homework and cram for exams. My favorite is the gentle thunderstorm.

I bought the bamboo forest wind and I listen to it while i do my homework. It is so relaxing! I love it!
