    • This Album Deserves the Expanded treatment

So many Albums lately are getting expanded releases by EWF, in the 2000s All N All , Spirit, Faces, and Thats the Way of The World All Got Expanded Releases More Recently Raise Got an expanded rerelease… and now its Getting another one with even more rare tracks and Electric Universe is too, with Unreleased tracks. I know some more tracks the were unreleased for this album saw recent rerelease as part of Constellations (Insensitive and Eyes of Hope). But this Album had so many other tracks worth adding, like the 12 inch versions of Evil Roy, thinking of you and System of Survival, numerous other mixes of said songs and most importantly Writing on the Wall which I am amazed never got added to the album at some point during rereleases. At the very least the 3 12 inch tracks and Writing on the wall, eyes of hope and insensitive should be added as bonus tracks.
    • "Touch the World" is a Bit of a Return to Form

The 1987 release "Touch the World" finds EWF reenergized after a 4 year layoff following their commercially and critically disappointing "Electric Universe" album and they produce their most solid album since "Faces". This recording kicks off with three excellent songs, the number 1 hit "System of Survival" plus the hit "Thinking of You" and "Evil Roy". This album also has a couple of really solid slow jams "You and I" and "Here Today Gone Tomorrow". The title cut is a pleasing, uptempo gospel song and "Victim of a Modern Heart" features horn flourishes that are reminiscent of songs on "Raise" or "Powerlight". While "Touch the World" is not in the league of EWF's recordings from the 70's, it is a better and more consistent album than its predecessor "Electric Universe" and much better than their next album "Heritage". Four enthusiastic stars.
