A a first listen you might say,this is a michael McDonald song. At 60 Years of age Michael is branching out alot more these days. La Marea is an acousctic gutair feel with a latin twist. I'm gladd to see MIchael writing new material again, When I heard some recording sessions from Robben Ford/Michael McDonald I was very excited and really loved the gutair blues/rocken style. It has been a long time and was wondering when this project might poke it 's head out. What a great start, hoping the buzz gets going so we can get more cuts outhere. Michael said in an innerview they were not doing a certain style, just writing tunes. The song" Judgement Day"was my favorite, there was a rough demo verson that was playing of RF web site for a while. Now if this isn't the RF/McD. project, Michael was rumored to have 2 new CD's coming out. Lets see what else coming. This song is nice to hear in our car,playing as dinner muisc with some guests over. or just relaxing and playing it at home. Nice sounds and nice song. Keep them comin Michael. what ever this project is from. It will be nice to have a full CD of new material. PS you might want to check out Drew Zinggs new CD from 2012 self tittled. Michael contributes a soulful powerful vocal to a cover of the Comordores "Easy" Peace, Mike Sippie
