Yes we've all been taught, or at least have heard of, the destruction of Carthage and the fearsome Hannibal, but Carlin gives more than names (though granted in this selection names are limited) dates, and treaties — you can feel the battle and smell the fear. This epic, gut-wrenching story is the perfect introduction to the Dan Carlin style. It is cunning, adventurous, and unabashedly in your face; in a word: it's hardcore.
