Marc, You can do waaaaaay better than this. Don't put out an album that doesn't come from your heart and soul.

Have some dignity Marc. Just say no to the man when he says he's going to turn you into the next Bruno Mars. Heck, even Bruno's stuff is fun.......if you're a teenage girl. Get your groove back. My wife was always in the mood when I played your older stuff. This new one, I guess I could say it's the beauty of who you was.

FREAKING PHENOMENAL. Many years ago my cousin turned me onto the song "Home", and I absolutely fell in love with Marc Broussard then. But I recently discovered three more albums and I'm jumping for joy… Marc Broussard is an incredible artist, he has phenomenal songwriting talent, and you can tell he loves the Lord through his lyrics. Amen brother, keep singing! :-)

Lucky is my new favorite song. Been a fan of Marc's since I saw him in Atlanta in 2006. Since then I've seen him twice more and love listening to his music in the car. I miss the big band feeling of his older music (like "Come Around") but am still impressed with his new songs and style :)
    • Marc sells out.

I get it. I understand. It was deemed necessary to become more commercial in an attempt -- did it work? -- to sell more albums. Of course, all this did was turn Marc Broussard into Ricky Martin. This album is well recorded, slickly produced and efficiently crafted gaseous fluff. Ugh. :(

This album is brilliant. Yes, it has a much more lighthearted tone than some of his previous albums, but its still the same old Marc. Anyone who thinks this man has lost his soul just needs to listen to the second half of "Let Me Do It Over" to change their mind. If anything, Marc's new sound serves to break the monotony of his previous albums, like adding a new flavor to a favorite dish.
    • Great record!

Anyone who says this record isn't good or isn't "true Marc Broussard" isn't a true MB fan. Great job Marc!
    • Great Progression with some new sound and the old.

This is a great album. I love all of Marc's works, and understand that he had to at some point release something that was radio friendly and would reach a wider audience. This is that album. To all the people complaining, please stop. Give the whole album a really good listen, don't just sample the songs and decide that because they are not exactly what you have heard from him before, that the are not good. They are actually great. It takes big talent to hold back a bit and let it out when needed. I saw Marc live last night and he did quite a few of these songs, and let me tell you he was AMAZING. The entire band was amazing. Marc always brings it hard live, and I hope he releases a version of this live as well. I really hope with the progression of his sound, that radio and a wider audience embrace the massively talented Marc Broussard.

I bought Keep Coming Back because I hoped that it would be a return to some new original material from one of the best voices of his generation. Both KCB and this self titled album have been a major disappointment. It hurts me to say this but these songs are for the most part... boring. Carenco was kind of all over the map stylistically but it was all grounded by Marc's voice and the undeniable soul that resides in it. These last to albums are just as generic as can be. Any R&B artist could be singing these songs because none of them have the inherent urgency or style that his previous work did. "Eye on the Prize," sounds like a watered down version of "Home." It wants to be a bluesy rocker but neither Marc nor the band ever put the pedal to the floor, instead they just cruise down the road. "Cruel," and "Lucky," suffer from the same fate. These sound like half-hearted imitations of his covers from S.O.S. The production overall is way too clean and polished. There are certain moments in "Only Everything," that sound like they are trying to cash in on the whole 80's retro vibe but it's a mistake. I'm not sure who he's writing these songs with now or if he's even writing any of them at all but this material is just so unoriginal compared to the kid that was "straight from the water." He's got an amazing voice but I'm not buying anymore of his tracks until he comes up with something more enticing.
