I think they experimented with a lot of new sounds and other stuff. It turned into a great album. Definitely my 2nd or 3rd album, since I don't know to put this before or after inhuman rampage; they are about even.

I can agree when people say their music sounds repetitive but when you listen to their music you won't notice it unless you are trying to spot any similarities. I love their music, if you enjoy their music I recommend you buy their music enjoy :)

Dragonforce isn't the best metal band around, and their songs, both the music and the lyrics, are very repetitive. You could make a drinking game by listening to this album: take a shot every time they say "fire", "storm", "tonight", and "far beyond the [x]". The band is fully aware of this, and they seem to enjoy singing fantasy inspired lyrics about fighting video game bosses. However, some of their songs, namely "reasons to Live", "Heartbreak Armageddon", and "The Last Journey Home" are more complex, showing sudden tempo and dynamic changes in the middle. On these songs, Herman and Sam prove they can play stuff that isn't shredding. There's even a ballad, "A Flame for Freedom". All in all, don't take it too seriously and you'll have a headbanging good time.
    • I love Dragonforce but...

I've been looking everywhere in the comments for each of their albums for somebody to say this, but no one's said it yet. To be honest, dragon force has some of the best melodies I've ever heard in my life. The vocal melodies, the guitar rhythms and the guitar solo's all bring tears to my eyes. BUT their lyrics are all the same! It kills me inside! I listen to an awesome band playing awesome music with beautiful lyrics but the lyrics are terrible and I have no idea what they're singing about. I love the dungeon and dragon theme, but I'd prefer the lyrics to be specified about one theme, not just random stuff about DnD.
    • One of the best

I've only known about Dragonforce for a year, but they are possibly one of the best bands I have ever heard. If you never heard a Dragonforce song, then I strongly suggest that you buy some of their songs

The first thing people think about when they hear the genre metal is screaming and negativity. And some bands do that, but not all. It is truely rare to find an amazing band like dragonforce in the metal genre that sends positive messages and sounds unfiggenbelievable. I hope that people get dragonforce's message as well: no matter how much pain and suffering you go through, you will make it to the other side.

I'm only using the previews for an initail take, but I notice the song "Extreme Power Metal" is missing form this list (it's track 11). The song that is missing is a critical to the album since the noting of their repetivity is known quite well, even I have listened to their album Sonic Firestorm. The song is not repetitive like the other songs, but it has a different feel than any of their other songs that they have created. The album sounds like it's going to be a good one, especailly with "Heros of Our Time", "The Last Journey Home," The Warrior Inside," and "Strike of the Ninja." The missing track, known as "E.P.M." (also known as "Extreme Power Metal" as I stated earlier) is the final track, number 11. I think this is a good album, though I'm not sure since I don't own it, nor have I listened to all the songs.

at first when i heard these guys in 6th grade i really liked them. then i realized something about 2 years ago. every song almost sounds the same. if you see any other of my reviews, they sound a little stupid. i made those a looong time ago, and now im becoming more serious. you only need a couple of these songs, and you will be OK. dont waste money on something that kinda repeats itself.

Dragonforce never dissapoints. Every single one of their lbums has always entertained me. They are one of the best bands in the world. Also, i think i speak for a lot of people when i say that iTunes needs to bring their song E.P.M. (Extreme Power Metal) onto iTunes. for those of you who dont know the song, look it up. In my own opinion. its the best song they got. Keep up the good work Dragonforce!!! "We ride on together, destroying your evil, with freedom at hand!!"
