    • Great Album!

I'm a fairly new fan of DragonForce and have been sampling their albums. "Through the Fire and Flames", off the "Inhuman Rampage" album, got me hooked on this band and since then, I've downloaded that album and "Ultra Beatdown". While I really like "Maximum Overload", I really don't care for the band's ultra high-speed cover of "Ring of Fire". I mean, a speed-metal band like DragonForce putting their own spin on a timeless Johnny Cash song...I just dont see it. But other than that, this really is a great album!

Sounds like crap that those weird kids at the mall listen to. You know the ones that play yugioh and wear fedoras and pikachu backpacks? Lol

I don't write reviews often, yet this album deserves it. Every song is fantastic from The Game to Defenders, this is Dragonforce at its best. I was worried about the departure of Theart, but Hudson is fantastic. Really well done.
    • This isn't Dragonforce, this is better!

When I listened to this album I saw hints and traits of Dragonforce. But the production and quality of the songs doesn't match Valley of the Damned. It's better! Progressive, heavy, awesome album. This is speed metal, thrash metal, power metal and heavy metal all jammed into atmospheric, gripping fun. Heavily recommended. This is what happens when a band stops trying to produce their own albums and hire a real producer.
    • a musical treat

One of their better albums. This takes a new spin to the sound of VOTD and TPW and multiplies the intensity by a thousand. I have high hopes for the future of this band. These guys have a huge repertoire under their belts already and have a lot of potential. if you think this is a stereotypical metal band, think again, it is a pleasant surprise of a listen. they have shredding, but have slower lyrical parts in their songs too. a treat for the ears, this beats Katy Perry’s Prism album by a long shot! only suggestion is to write a couple more songs like starfire, many people love that song and would like to see another like it.

Most people don't know, or if they do aren't saying it, but Ring of Fire is an amazing remake of the original Johnny Cash song! Also, whenever I hear The Game, I think of the birth of hope against doom. One more thing. Think if DragonForce and Les Friction teamed up for once. EPIC.

In my opinion, this is their best album, and if you are thinking about checking it out, check it ALL out, because the whole thing is amazing. Best DragonForce Album.
