Amazing album from an amazing artist. Drenched in darkness, it's bold, hypnotic, and hauntingly beautiful.

An incredible album. "Famous Blue Raincoat" is probably how you got here. But listen to "Last Year's Mine", "Joan of Arc" and the absolutely blistering "Diamonds in the Mine" -- a stunner and not known to many even hard-core fans that will blow you away. A deeply underrated and overlooked album

Simply stunning album—easily as good as “Songs of Leonard Cohen”. Raw and powerful stuff.

I’m a bit surprised this doesn’t have a single rating. Classic Cohen is still just as relevant as current Cohen. His poetic sensibility keeps his songs from becoming dated, and his melodies are bewitching. Avalanche and Last Year’s Man are both gems, and the album keeps its tone from start to finish. One song does seem less well produced than others (it sounds like the space was different that he was singing in). 5 stars.
