This is trash. His voice is even worse than it used to be, he sounds like he is asleep, and the songs are nowhere near what they were in the past. He is way past his "sell-by" date.

In his youth, Cohen, always asserting his unworthiness to speak, opened the Yom Kippur Service for us with his take on the Unataneh Tokef (Who by Fire) and now, havinng crossed to "the other side of intimacy" he leads us in the Ne'ilah service that closes the day, "behold the gates of mercy/in arbitrary space."

This album astounds me. The combination of Cohen's gravely voice, awesome lyrics, background vocals and instruments are so hauntingly beautiful they sometimes reverberate in the pit of my stomach. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard is Lullaby. His voice and the harmonica together are pure magic. Listen with headphones.

Leonard is magic! When I listen to him the lyrics jump out to me with such clarity, I wonder why someone hasn't done this before. I now realize the genius of Leonard and his ability to "cut to the chase" with his music. The presentation is wonderful . This album will be at the top of my playlist for a long, long time. VIVA LEONARD ! Looking forward to his USA tour schedule.
