Anyone complaining that Steve Walsh isn’t singing, is a crackhead. This sounds absolutely great for live performance. Dust in the Wind sounds almost identical to the original.

These guys are so good. Their sound live is amazing as I have heard them live in San Antonio, Tx back in 99. This current lineup is simply amazing despite not having all the original members. I love this band!!

Love this but do I detect auto tune on the lead vocalist.

I’m one of the biggest Kansas fans ever and can tell you that Ronnie is doing a great job. It’s unfortunate that one of rocks great voices was struggling before his retirement, but the band can now play all the songs.
New singer breaths new life

For those missing Steve Walsh. If you're into a voice that will make you cringe because the sound is no longer there & you like nails on a chalk board listen to There's No Place Like Home with the Kansas symphony orchestra. He can certainly play those keyboards but his voice has not stood the test of time Ronnie Platt takes the reigns and gives these songs the drama & passion they deserve. I saw them live & I can tell you he more than fills the void that Steve Walsh left. He definitely breathes new life into these prog classics.
Makes me appreciate the new guy....

I gotta say that this is on point! The band sounds incredible, & I'm almost sold on the "new" vocalist. Sad to see Steve gone, & sad John wasn't willing to return, but this guy is sorta a hybrid of the two. Really solid release.
STILL Kansas no matter what naysayers think!

Steve Walsh hasn't even sounded like Steve Walsh since maybe the 90s, so get over it! I greatly miss seeing and hearing Kerry on guitar and keys. We all probably have affection for a previous lineup, perhaps the original 6, but trust me - after seeing these guys live in 2015 and again a couple months ago, this current lineup sounds better than when I saw them in the 80s!!
Band Sounds Amazing

From the moment I started this album, I was struck at how great the band sounded. The drum recording and mix is sensational. If you’re a Phil Ehart fan, this recording is a must. This band is always very tight musically and this recording accentuates that.
On the vocals side of the house, newcomer Ronnie Platt belts it out in fine fashion. My wish is to hear the vocals better in the mix. Vocals really are buried in this presentation. At a couple of times during my listen it was hard to even understand some of the words. This is sad for a really solid vocal performance.
Overall, however, this is a fantastic recording. It’s great to have all of Leftoverture back to back, which is Kansas’ best album top to bottom and arguably one of the best of progressive rock.
Despite the hard to hear vocal mix, the band sounds so good. This is an excellent live album that cranks through a fantastic playlist.
Stronger than ever !

This is not the 20th century Kansas. This is on to greater things. Musicianship on the album is wonderful. I'm just happy that they care enough to "carry on". No Steve is not there to sing, that time period is gone, Ronnie has taken on the roll, and made it own. These fine gentlemen have gone on to create a new version of Kansas that i hope will continue for years to come.
If you have not seen the new version of Kansas live, do yourself a favor and experience it first hand, and be prepared to be moved physically and emotionally !
