As a massage therapist I like long passages where I can take a client into really deep places of relaxation. Dr. Jeffrey Thompson is the best I've found at making music that does this. I wanted to give Kelly Howell a shot as she has so much music out and with the small teasers it's kind of hard to tell so I took the plunge with "Sacred Ground." This one does has it's moments that work. Often though they are undone by washes of synthesized music that attempt to create a dynamic that rings false, The best moments are in the long ambient streches that make up much of this recording. I only wish her technique was a little more evolved. Music like this is needed but there are people out there that are better at it.

This album is great. It is like a reset button for your mind. I listen for an hour each night before bed. I also listen at work when things get crazy. If you are looking for uplifting relaxation, this album is worth the money.
